Private Classes
Brand new this year, I'd like to move towards a private class approach for all my art classes. Still all the same amazing content just in a more intimate setting in the hopes to focus more on you guys and helping you make exactly what you are looking to make! Below you'll find some frequently asked questions and examples of what I can teach for private classes.
Left to right: Intro to Printmaking, Wire Wrapped Suncatchers, Wire Wrapped Wands.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Would you come to my house? A: Yes! My whole purpose of private classes is to bring them to your home where you're not only more comfortable but in a more intimate setting that helps both the learning and creative processes. During the summer months I can set up in your yard and during the colder months I would need a space for a 6ft table indoors.
- Q: Is there a maximum or minimum number of people that can be in a class? A: While there is no minimum number of people I can personally accommodate, the maximum number of people is 25. If you are interested in something larger than 25, shoot me an email with the details of the event and the number of people you are expecting so I can enlist the proper amount of fellow wire artisans to make that possible!
- Q: What do costs look like? A: The cost per person depends on the craft you ultimately decide on but they range from $30-$40 a person.
- Q: What exactly can we make with you? A: Right now I'm currently teaching classes in wire wrapping and printmaking. Wire wrapping classes are suncatchers, themed pendants and witchcraft wands. My intro to printmaking class has you create two stamps that you can use to create two bookmarks and a 4x6 print if you choose. In the past, people who attend the class together have shared their stamps to have even more variety to their bookmarks and print.
- Q: Are the materials supplied? A: Yes! I supply everything needed. For the wand making class, it's not necessary but you are more than welcome to bring your own crystals to adorn your wand with. I will have crystals to choose from and the cost is already worked into your ticket price!
- Q: How long do classes typically run for? A: Typically the classes can take from 2 to 4 hours. I need an hour beforehand to set up and about 45 minutes to break down after the conclusion so overall, 4 to 6 hours.
- Q: How far in advance do we need to reach out and book? A: At least 3 weeks ahead of time.
- Q: Will you need any electricity to run this event? A: Mostly, no. If we are going to be outdoors and your start time is on the later side, say 6:30-7:00pm, we will need lighting as these tend to run on the longer side. If you have a patio with lighting, great! If not, I'll only need an outlet to run an extension cord from to provide lighting.
