About Me
Hey there! My name is Ashley Lamp and I'm a local artisan in Buffalo, New York.
I received my degree from Buffalo State College and graduated in 2021 with a major in Art and a minor in Art Therapy. With my background in art therapy, you'll find that the classes I now offer around WNY are rooted with 'art as therapy' principles.
My disciplines in art are ceramics, drawing, painting, mural arts, printmaking, photography, digital illustration, fiber arts, jewelry arts including wire wrapping, metalsmithing, silversmithing, and lastly short-term installation artwork. These days I no longer work in the ceramics and photography fields however ceramics will return once the opportunity to do so is there.
I began wire wrapping as a means to stay creatively active and avoid burnout from constantly doing prompted and graded art in college. Since 2018, I've self-taught the medium and began sharing my knowledge in the form of classes around my local area. I also teach other media that I learned and refined over the course of my lifetime thus far including printmaking and painting.
If public group classes don't seem to fit your vibe, reach out to book me for a private class! Private classes can range from solo one-on-one teaching or a private in-home group party! Send me an email
